First week of a new freedom, no association necessary with a poor choice whose very memory is still hard to bear - there may come a time when emotions may not be stirred however the cost in all things seems excessive

April 2011 Approaches - New Life?

Can things be different in training from mid-2011?
I hope so but only time will tell the tale.....

Attended SDGA v Lancashire match at Southport Old Links on 27 March. The morning foursomes were close but SDGA triumphed by 3.5 to 2.5 so after a pleasant lunch the 2 Formbytes that were playing (Kristan Taylor & James Bolton) set out for the afternoon singles.

Both continued the good work to complete a successful day with SDGA emerging victorious for the second time in 3 years, congratulations must go to their Captain, Mark Segar, from the host club - the final score being 11.5 - 6.5 to SDGA.

Prior to my first Council meeting at FGC, I have tried to communicate with the Winstanleys over Ian's future relationship with the golf club when he joins the paid ranks with Dave Patterson.

Happy 21st birthday to James Wilson yesterday - hope the new car goes well!

First Council meeting at FGC for me tonight - fully armed with paperwork and looking forward to the task whereas I cannot help remember the Final of the Amateur as the Masters approaches - the contrast in fortunes of the 2 finalists, Matteo and Sam

But 2013 will be good year as we learn that FGC will host the Brabazon Stroke Play Champs and RCPGC stages the Amateur again!
