FGC pre-AGM 2011 - Election Time

Some Formby stuff  More FGC pictures.

A selection of views - some better than others, spot the lesser worthy memories -

There comes a time when a cull is required - no need for old stuff!

However, on a retrospective note, and for the record this was the beginning of the end ...

Congratulations to Paul Kinnear, Mark Duncalf and James Bolton who compiled an aggregate of 428, eight over par, to Win the 36-hole English Champion Club Tournament, supported by Powakaddy, at Woodbridge in sunny Suffolk
The teenage trio from Formby Golf Club kept their nerve and their overnight lead for a two-shot victory over Moor Park from Hertfordshire with Somerset Champions Farrington two strokes further back on 432.
Not only did the Formby lads collect the trophy and the title but they each collected an electric trolley all courtesy of Powerkaddy.
“We are delighted to win,” said Duncalf. “This means a lot. To win any EGU Championship is great and this provides a fine end to the season.”
The Formby team, with a collective age of 51 and a total handicap of plus three, led by a shot overnight from Moor Park, Teignmouth from Devon and Nottinghamshire Champions Notts GC from Hollinwell. Eventually emerging as English Champions who then travelled to Estella, Oporto in Portugal to represent England in the European Team Championships.

The shape of Europe, UK has some influence?

Useful reminder of questions that need consideration when at interview, create a scenario to accurately portrait the necessary essence of the question:

When at Interview - Aide Memoire

Recent matches at FGC have included the Hittites visit to contest their Pegram Trophy - 36 holes foursomes stableford aggregate, Richard Reid and Charles Donald emerged victorious with 75 points - yours truly could only manage 65 with Andy Hastie.

First Council meeting approaches - more later!
